OUR HALAL STANDARD

Third-party halal-certified, on every formula.

Every Afiyah product is certified by an independent halal authority: scholars and trained auditors who review our ingredients, our manufacturing, and the finished bottle on the shelf. This is what that looks like, and what it covers.

ISA halal certification mark

CERTIFIED BY

Islamic Services of America (ISA)

The longest-standing halal certifier in North America, based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa since 1975, and a founding member of the World Halal Food Council. ISA is recognized by JAKIM (Malaysia), BPJPH (Indonesia), MUIS (Singapore), and GAC (Gulf states), and accredited by A2LA in the United States.

What certification covers

Every Afiyah formula is audited against the same three-part standard, every year.

Ingredients

No pork or pork-derived gelatin, no non-halal animal sources, no haram excipients (binders, coatings, and capsules included).

Manufacturing

Equipment, cleaning protocols, and cross-contamination controls at every facility we use are inspected and signed off.

Finished product

The bottle on the shelf is the bottle the certifying body has approved, not a reformulated version shipped later.

Questions we hear often

How often is the certification renewed?

Certification is audited and renewed annually. We publish the current certificate on this page and update it when a new one is issued.

Can I see the full certificate?

Yes! Download it from the button at the top of this page. If you need certification for a specific SKU, email us and we'll send it directly.

Are softgels and gelatin capsules halal too?

Most of our capsules are plant-based (HPMC / pullulan). When a formula requires gelatin (e.g. Omega-3 softgels), we use gelatin from halal-slaughtered sources only. That's part of the certification scope.

Still have questions?

Our pharmacists are happy to walk you through the certification scope for any specific product.
